Yes I know. I'm a blogging slacker.

Hello.  Shall I shout that a bit louder?  HELLOOOOOOO.....  Is there anybody there? No? Should I be surprised?  Not really since I have to add blog confession number 50000.  Forgive me reader for I have once again sinned.  I have neglected my Blog and departed from the paintastic updates I so genuinely promised to tell you about on a semi-regular basis.

Have I got an excuse?  Ummm.  Yes, actually.
Is it a worthwhile excuse?  Ummm.  Yes, actually.
Will you all forgive my slovenly laziness in writing?  Please?

Is that enough grovelling?  Hope so because I am bursting with information.  Popping with patter. Glowing with gusto and any other almost alliterative aberrations on the English language I can muster.

So what news.  Well the Summer Holidays were.  That is all.  They were.  The Christmas Holidays.  They were too.  I meant to get back in my blogging swing.  About that I can say no more.

Since I last said 'How do you do?', I bought, painted, decorated and re-vamped a beautiful vintage caravan.  I loved her.  I bestowed my very best paint in her and I turned her from 50 shades of beige into Eye Candy for the Vintage loving generation.  She was all mine.  My little hideaway.  My sanctuary from life.  It helped that she had a fridge that kept Sancerre at just the right temperature.  I loved her.  Her name was Maude.  Maude has now left me.  She has gone to show her shabby chic love to another.  The other does love her as much as I did.  But Maude will always be my first.  Do you want pictures?

Vintage Caravan Maude was lovely - sorry IS lovely.  But why did i sell her? I put my heart and soul into re-vamping her and The Husband did a brilliant job on her technical bits.  So why? Quite simply my life has undergone a massive change.

We are moving house.  Not just house, but country. In fact continent.  And it has been a big undertaking.

It's an opportunity not to be passed up.  An adventure. A blast. A if we don't do it now we never will moment in our lives.

So where are we going?  Well, the man of the house finds himself to be shortly employed in the wonderful city of Toronto.  A great, amazing and diverse place.  But not being a city type - this village has 250 dwellings - I got a bit scared.  my kids have never really experienced traffic let alone city living!

So where to go?  Well I did my research.  I poured through the internet.  Asked advice. Jumped on forums.  And what did I find?  I found that the place I most wanted to visit on our fact finding trip was Burlington. Burlington, Ontario.  So we did.  And I liked it.  And the Husband liked it.  And now we are going to live there.

We have a few hoops to jump through.  Paperwork to complete and whatnot, but assuming all goes to plan, we will be off.  Soon.

I do have plans - I have plans to get my painting groove on as soon as I get there. Plans to attend the Milk Paint Course the Husband kindly bought me for Christmas, and most exciting of all. plans to take The Tweeps skiing at every opportunity. So keep posted.

I can't guarantee when, but I will keep you up to speed.
